Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about getting started with OMIQ

What file formats does OMIQ support?

OMIQ supports all major flow cytometry formats, including FCS, CSV, LMD, and data from spectral and mass cytometry. If you're uploading CSV files, individual files can be zipped to save space, though multiple files grouped together in a single ZIP are not currently supported.

Can I import data from FlowJo?

Yes. You can import all your data from FlowJo into OMIQ. For a side-by-side breakdown of how the two platforms differ, see the OMIQ vs FlowJo comparison page.

Is OMIQ cloud-based? Do I need to install anything?

OMIQ is a fully cloud-based platform, no downloads, no installation, accessible anywhere with reliable performance. Licenses are accessed via your browser at app.omiq.ai.

Is there a free trial? Do I need a credit card?

Yes. You can sign up for a full-featured 30-day trial for free, no credit card needed. You can use your own data or follow along with the tutorial and included demo data.

Do I need coding or bioinformatics experience to use OMIQ?

No. OMIQ is highly intuitive and user-friendly, designed for both classical and advanced high-dimensional analyses. All algorithms, including t-SNE, UMAP, and FlowSOM, are natively integrated, so there's no need to write code or install plugins. The Getting Started video series above is a good place to begin regardless of your background.

How do I share my analysis or collaborate with my team?

You can easily invite colleagues and assign roles with customizable permission levels, sharing not just results but the full context behind them, including datasets and workflows. OMIQ enables real-time cloud sharing of datasets, results, and workflows with individuals or groups.
